We’re already well into February and this year feels like it’s flying by. Definitely past the half way mark on the fit out but still feel like there’s so far to go!
INSTALLING THE BRIDAL RACKS and CHANGE-ROOM //
Next to go in were the much anticipated bridal racks and change room. Made from galvanised plumbing pipes no less! Cost effective and strong…you could hang a car off these things (okay well maybe not a car…..).
Given the nature of our business is to showcase lots of gown options to our brides our objective was to install as many racks as possible without overwhelming the beautiful large airy space. I’m happy with what we achieved, including our singular change room that will hopefully become the centrepiece of the room.
SHOP FRONTAGE EXTERIOR //
The shop front exterior was something that had been well thought out in advance, as we wanted to make a big impact to passers by and give the overall shop great street appeal. The front awning and eves was in such disrepair caused by an internal plumbing issue while the terminate problem had only heightened the problem.
We decided to cover the old external wall tiles with v-groove panelling and cover the floor tiles with new grey ones, while finishing off the front structural panel in our favourite shade of Barefaced Bride nude to make it really stand out.
COMPLETING THE BACK ROOM//
We think the before and after photos speak for themselves on what was a challenging room to complete in such a short timeframe. We’re excited to have Michelle from Love Your Skin, an amazing beauty therapist, bring her magic and join the building!
SEALING THE FLOORS //
Last step – a few coats of clear concrete floor sealer and we’re done! Ready for the rug and furniture, lighting and dresses.
